Powerful, compact and portable, the AF2000 is the largest Quatro Air Purifier. Designed for a 1,000 square foot room (with eight foot ceilings), this unit provides optimal containment of dust, odors, and airborne particles left after polishing operations and various bench work. Many competitive dust collectors pick up much of the dust at the source, but polishing operations also allow a substantial amount of dust to become airborne and settle around the shop thus why Quatro Air Purifiers are needed to sweep the air for the ultimate in cleanliness.
Fresh-Air Series Air Purifiers capture airborne dust and other contaminants in an advanced three-stage filtration system, then recirculate clean air back into the room. The most important stage of this filtration system is the medical grade certified HEPA filter, rated at 99.97% at 0.3 Microns. The brushless motor is designed for long continuous use and provides quiet operation. All provide complete room air exchange approximately 15 times per hour (depending on the room size). While these air purifiers purge the air and provide a clean environment, they will also help reduce heating and air-conditioning energy/maintenance costs as well as reduce general cleaning costs. Each includes smooth casters for easy relocation from room to room as well as 1 each of all 3 filters. 120V, 2 Amp. Registers between 54-59 decibels. Net Weight 320 lbs. Made in Canada.
Features a 3-stage filtration system:
- Stage-1 Prefilter — Captures the biggest particles, prolonging the life of subsequent filters. Inexpensive and easy to change. (see our 8542104 - sold in a package of 8)
- Stage-2 Hi-Cap Filter — Provides high-capacity particle retention. (see our 8542108)
- Stage-3 HEPA Filter — Picks up 99.97% of 0.3 Micron particulate, including soot and pollen. Recirculates clean air back into the room to help minimize heating and AC costs. Replace every 3 to 5 years depending on use. (see our 8542195)
HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters are designed to capture the subMicron particles that tend to pass straight through traditional Ashrae-rated filters. These particles—which can come in the form of powders, aerosols, fumes, smoke, molds, spores, bacteria and more—bypass the human respiratory system’s natural defenses, penetrating deep into the lungs where they cannot be expelled and raising long-term health concerns. For this reason, HEPA filters are critical to ensuring safety in environments where small particulate is generated. It is no coincidence that allergists, asthma specialists and air filtration specialists alike recommend HEPA filtration.
Note: When working with materials that contain silica, such as investment or tripoli, it is wise to wear a properly-rated respirator if exposure levels are high. Airborne respirable silica can be captured with a vacuum or air purifier containing a HEPA filter.
