Greg Gesswein
President and CEO
Biography
Greg is the fourth generation of family leadership at Gesswein. Since joining the company in 2004, Greg has always shown a complete commitment to Gesswein’s
ongoing success. He started as a salesperson on the West Coast, spending 4 years learning about Gesswein’s customers and products. He returned to the Bridgeport
office to manage the industrial division, where he applied what he learned in the field to reinvigorate Gesswein’s product line, improve processes, and expand
into new markets. At the same time, he was bettering himself, taking classes to earn his Executive Master’s in Business Administration at the University of New Haven.
As President and CEO, Greg looks to the future, generating new ideas to improve the company in all its facets from long-term growth to customer service to company
culture. To this day, though, he still most enjoys spending time with customers all over the world and seeing the amazing work they do. He strives to make Gesswein
better than ever and, eventually, to pass on the company to a 5th generation of Gesswein leadership.
Roger Gesswein III
Vice President
Biography
Roger III is the son of former and longtime CEO Roger Gesswein JR. Roger’s energy and kind nature has a way of spreading to those around him. His role is to bring Gesswein to new people and new markets. He loves working closely with Gesswein’s eclectic customer base and has found that adding value to a jeweler’s production is the most rewarding aspect of his job. At the end of the day, he looks to improve the work and the lives of all Gesswein stakeholders through a culture that is customer-centric and collaborative.
Lauren Gesswein
Marketing Manager
Biography
Lauren joined her family business in early 2020 and now oversees Marketing. Her focus has been refreshing the company’s branding identity and building a stronger digital presence that fosters education and community for jewelers and mold & die polishers. Lauren has a creative background, having worked for 10 years as both a photographer and Producer in New York’s competitive advertising space. She has enjoyed adapting to the challenges of marketing to meet today’s demanding customer standards, while also helping to transform a multi-generational business with family.
Ky Van
Procurement Manager
Biography
Ky oversees the buying team and ensures procurement is done as efficiently as possible. He values how Gesswein feels like a small family business where all employees can express thoughts and opinions freely, knowing that their voices will be heard. He works constantly to improve the procurement team and to provide processes that will secure the supply chain for years to come.
Kimberly Arnette
Industrial Sales Manager
Biography
Kim leads the industrial sales team, which provides the technical expertise for manufacturers to pick the right tools to improve their businesses. She loves visiting customers to see their production processes from start to finish, but what makes it fun for her is being able to know what tools can help expedite their work. She enjoys most the atmosphere at Gesswein and finds that everyone genuinely feels like a part of the family.
Sekou Williams
Vice President of Operations
Biography
Sekou has been a part of the team for over two decades and now plans, directs, and controls Gesswein’s daily functions to accomplish operational and financial goals. He enjoys working for a family business because it makes him feel that he is part of a bigger mission. Even with the critical role he plays in day-to-day operations, he hopes that when he leaves, people will remember him for what he brought to Gesswein’s culture.
Charlotte Kearney
VP of Product Development
Biography
In her three decades at Gesswein, Charlotte has gone wherever she has been needed most. She has worked in accounting, supported Gesswein at tradeshows, assisted in rebuilding the Gesswein offices after a fire, and had a hand in twelve different catalogs.
These days, she coordinates adding new products to Gesswein’s line-up, helps with marketing to promote the new products, and is working on the new computer system. Her favorite part about working for a family business is that the management team is so fast to respond to any suggestion or idea.
John Harsh
COO and Executive Vice President
Biography
As the second in command to the President, John does whatever is needed. From staffing the organization to integrating responsibilities, he ensures Gesswein’s business is running efficiently and successfully. He loves that everyone at Gesswein takes on a variety of roles and is challenged to learn and grow constantly. He finds that Gesswein feels like a family business, where each person is treated with concern for both their professional and personal needs.
John has been a leader in bringing in new ideas, technologies, and business practices at Gesswein and has greatly enjoyed helping the organization transition to a fourth generation of family leadership.
Scott Petrillo
Vice President Jewelry Sales
Biography
Scott is an industry veteran with over a quarter-century of experience. He handles all domestic sales for Gesswein’s jewelry division while serving as a liaison to Gesswein’s sister companies worldwide. He takes the most joy, though, in working with customers to create solutions for whatever wants and needs they may have. He generously shares his extensive experience and knowledge with those around him as a foundation for current and future generations.
John DeMunda
Chief Financial Officer
Biography
John brings a fresh perspective to the jewelry industry with broad controllership experience handling office equipment, mailing machines, and working in the marine industry. His primary role is looking out for the entire financial health of Gesswein, but he loves the company’s dynamic leadership and is working to foster a culture of integrity and professionalism where every voice is respected and heard.
