A remarkable alloy additive that restores the fluidity, color and brightness of old or scrap yellow gold before you cast it. Use to eliminate the porosity associated with casting old gold.
Add 5% to your gold, melt and stir. Flow temperature: 1950°F. One jar casts up to 800 dwt of gold. Shipping weight: 2 oz.
Add 5% to your gold, melt and stir. Flow temperature: 1950°F. One jar casts up to 800 dwt of gold. Shipping weight: 2 oz.
Directions:
1. Weigh gold to be cast - add 5% of Re-Cast It.
(Example: 20dwt gold = 1 dwt Re-Cast It)
2. Place gold and Re-Cast It in crucible. Flow temperature: 1950 degree F.
3. Stir and cast.
Helpful Hints:
Adding 5% Re-Cast It to 14K reduces the gold content to 13.7K. This falls below 14K plumb standards. To raise gold content to 14K, add enough fine gold back to equal 7% of total casting weight.
Example: 20 dwt old gold + 1 dwt (5%) Re-Cast It - 21dwt TW
7% X 21dwt = 1.47 dwt fine gold.
This is only necessary when plumb gold must be achieved.

Helpful Hints:
- Use normal temperature. As a general rule, use the coolest temperature possible that will allow a proper fill and a solid casting.
- To insure best results, always skim and remove any oxide formation. Fluxing may be necessary depending on condition of gold. We recommend a 50/50 mix of Borax and Boric Acid.
- Always use a carbon rod with a gas fired furnace or a quartz rod with electric melting to clean surface.
- Wait 15 minutes before quenching.
