HMR-6 has a single plastic end which can be removed with a Hex Key (included). The flat plastic end forms metal while leaving it smooth. The metal end is slightly domed to make it easier to strike flat and slightly domed metal. Designed for the bench jeweler who sizes rings and only wants one hammer. Includes hex key and extra screw for plastic head.  Plastic head is replaceable and sold in packages of 3.  Fretz Hammers feature beautiful and strong hardwood handles, oil finished and tapering to a slender neck for flexibility. Head is cast from 420-grade stainless steel and hardened to 50HRC for maximum durability. Faces are polished to a mirror shine.  Made in Vietnam.
