The HMR-2 is designed to raise sheet metal into a bowl against a stake or other surface without thinning the metal, but you can also use it to create concave curves. The wide faces (20x10mm & 20x8mm) of the HMR-2 leave your metal smoother than if you were to raise with narrower faces or a cross peen hammer. All Fretz hammers are renowned for their quality, beauty, and comfort. Fretz casts their hammer heads from 420 stainless steel and tool hardens them to 50 HRC.
