Triangle laps are best suited for polishing flat surfaces, whereas rectangle laps can polish flat or curved surfaces. Just dress the sides of the rectangle laps to conform to curved surface prior to polishing. Use our diamond mounted point (226-1263) to form a small depression on the top center surface of the finishing stone lap. Then, use the lapping rod with angle (403-1060) to drive the finishing stone lap with a profiler, such as the Power Hand Reciprocating Profiler Z-2X or Z-6X. Use stoning oil with these finishing stone laps.
