Product Description

  • Extra power / torque for the most demanding work
  • Superb for hogging out large quantities of wood or porting engines
  • Offers excellent control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur while under load

The Series TX motor is Foredom's most powerful flex shaft machine at a full 1/3 HP. TX has a permanent magnet DC motor that features the latest in flex shaft technology. This ball bearing model utilizes advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields found in Foredom's universal Series SR motor) that deliver more torque at the low end and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM. No other flex shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load. Includes 39" flex shaft.  Speed range: 0-15,000rpm. 50/60Hz.  115V.  Made in USA.

TXR Foot Rheostat sold separately.  The TX motor also accepts the SXR-1 foot rheostat or the EMX manual speed controller. Backed by a two-year manufacturer's warranty.

Also available in a money-saving kit which includes handpiece and speed control: Foredom TX Kit.

Important Safety Instructions from FOREDOM®

  • Always wear proper eye and face protection—
Always wear safety glasses and or a face shield when using rotary power tools. Regular eyeglasses do not provide sufficient protection.
  • Never wear loose clothing or jewelry and tie back long hair—
Ties, scarves, jewelry and long hair pose a hazard when using rotary power tools.
  • Never use accessories at speeds above the maximum RPM—
Accessories used at faster than the recommended speed can become damaged, and hazardous to you and others in the work area. Always check the speed rating.
  • Never use a damaged accessory—
If an accessory appears to be bent, loose, vibrating or out of balance do not continue to use it. Use a clean sharp accessory that is recommended for the material you are working on. Let the speed of the tool do the work. Do not force the tool or use excessive side pressure.
  • Always use dust collection, respirator, or face mask to prevent inhalation of dust particles from workpiece or abrasives.
